Going 'Green' starts with you!
Hosts - EcoAvenues 2010 is the inaugural collaboration of the Southwest Valley and Buckeye Valley Chambers of Commerce, EMCC and the cities of Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson.
What to Expect - EcoAvenues is a casual and fun way to learn more about living ‘Green’ whether you are just getting started or looking for the latest in environmental products and services.
EcoAvenues will give Attendees a chance to learn about 'Going Green' and ways of protecting our environment. This will include alternative energy sources; home and business products; hybrid/low emission transportation; recyclable building materials; innovative ‘Green’ technologies; demos; locally-grown, fresh, organic foods, vegetables and fruits; and much more.
Partners - EcoAvenues is brought to you by APS and Lockheed Martin. This event brings together businesses, organizations, and volunteers who share a common interest in helping the Southwest Valley learn and take action to better protect the environment and lead healthier, more sustainable lives.
KidsZone - The City of Avondale, Radio Disney, WalMart and the Wildlife World Zoo present a fun-filled area for youth activities including a Bike Rodeo, face painting, eco-crafts, animals and live Radio Disney performances.
Educational Workshops - Several sessions will be available for attendees including topics such as Retrofitting Your House to be more Green, Carbon Footprint 101, and Composting Made Easy.
E-Waste - Goodwill Industries will collect all your e-waste and accept regular donations.
Vendor Expo - EcoAvenues exhibitors will be displaying unique and organic products and services as well as innovative technologies that are particularly designed to enhance our daily living and increase public awareness of the many ways to ‘Go Green’.
‘Going Green’ starts with you! - We highly recommend that you consider the following alternative transportation options to attend EcoAvenues, if at all possible:
(a) Ride your bicycle;
(b) Carpool or vanpool with your friends, relatives and neighbors; or
(c) Walk
